Begin the day at Como San Giovanni and board the confirmed EuroCity 14 at 09:51. Your First-Class seats are reserved in coach 11, seats 25 and 26, allowing you to settle in comfortably for the direct journey into Switzerland. Arrival at Zürich HB is at 12:27.
On arrival, keep the onward journey light by leaving the larger luggage in Zürich. Option 1: use the luggage lockers or staffed storage at Zürich HB. Option 2: walk to Hotel Limmatblick and try leaving the bags at reception. Lunch can be skipped; keep a snack and water handy before returning to the station.
The connection at Visp is 7 minutes. This is a standard coordinated Swiss rail connection; move directly from platform 7 to platform 3. After arriving in Zermatt, walk to Naco Aparthotel by Arca Spa and check into your Matterhorn-view studio. The evening is free to settle in and enjoy the village at an easy pace.

The open-air Rooftop Ride gives the ascent a memorable beginning. Continue upward to Europe’s highest cable-car station, then spend time at the viewing platform, Glacier Palace and Cinema Lounge. The full ascent generally takes about 40–45 minutes, including changes.
Begin descending in good time and return to Zermatt for a relaxed afternoon and evening. The scheduled last descent from Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is around 16:30; the final Furi–Zermatt descent is later, but do not rely on the last service. Mountain operations remain subject to weather and wind.

Exchange the printed Glacier 3000 voucher at the Col du Pillon cable-car station. The confirmed mountain ticket includes the Peak Walk by Tissot, Ice Express chairlift, Snow Fun Park and Glacier Walk, subject to weather and operations. The Alpine Coaster, dog-sled rides and Snow Bus are not included.

Carry both printed vouchers. Keep food and water for the journey; there is a useful refreshment window in Gstaad and a longer wait at Spiez on the return.
Enjoy an unhurried morning in Zermatt before checking out. Leave Naco by around 11:05 and walk to the station, giving yourself a comfortable margin for the final journey back to Zürich.
The Visp interchange is 7 minutes; move directly from platform 3 to platform 4. On arrival at Zürich HB, collect the luggage stored on 18 September if it was left at the station, then walk to Hotel Limmatblick. Check in and keep the evening free for the riverfront, Niederdorf lanes or a quiet dinner nearby.

Be ready to board by 11:25. The 11:37 departure is final and the hotel is close, but carrying luggage takes additional time.
Leave Hotel Limmatblick at 10:30 and walk to Zürich HB. Today is carefully timed around the confirmed Rhine Falls boat and Lindt entries, while keeping every major train direct.

From the station, continue to Schloss Laufen and spend approximately 25 minutes on the viewing platforms. Around 12:35, proceed to the landing and use the short Rhine crossing to Schlössli Wörth. Allow about 15 minutes for reaching the landing, waiting and crossing, then take a quick refreshment near the harbour.
From Kilchberg station, it is an easy 10–12 minute walk to Lindt. Arriving around 15:45 leaves time for the café or shop before the museum. After the visit, enjoy a little more time at Lindt before walking back for the direct return train.
Swiss Travel Pass: all scheduled trains are covered and do not require reservations. The Schloss Laufen viewing-platform entrance, Rhine crossing and boat tour are separate services. Carry the confirmed boat and Lindt bookings.

Weather guidance · Mild with waterfall sprayConditions around Zürich and Rhine Falls are usually comfortable in September, but the viewpoints and boat can be wet and breezy. Non-slip shoes and a light waterproof are useful.
Move directly after the 13:45 boat. Allow 18–20 minutes to walk to Neuhausen station for the direct 14:18 train.
Keep this day deliberately flexible. You may spend it at leisure in Zürich, wandering through the Old Town, along the Limmat and Bahnhofstrasse, or pausing beside the lake without a fixed schedule.
Alternatively, use the First-Class Swiss Travel Pass for an independent visit to St. Moritz at your own pace. This is a long full-day rail outing of roughly three hours each way and normally requires at least one change, so an early start is advisable if you choose it. No St. Moritz activity, seat reservation or fixed train is booked.

Check out from Hotel Limmatblick by 10:00. Leave for Zürich HB around 11:10, carrying all luggage, and take the direct airport train below. The Swiss Travel Pass expires at 05:00 today, so a separate Zürich HB–Airport ticket is required.

Air France’s latest stated check-in time is 14:10; arriving before noon provides a comfortable margin for baggage drop and security. The confirmed allowance is one checked bag up to 23 kg per passenger.
After landing in Paris, collect the bags and follow signs for the free CDGVAL shuttle towards Terminal 3/Roissypole. From there, citizenM Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is a short walk. Check in, settle down and keep the evening restful before the morning flight.
